Touch base

You might wonder (or not) what have I been doing in SH the last couple of days?

#1: I am happy to say that I’m over with jet lag! Being jet lagged for a week is not fun, but it’s not end of the world either, specially when I’m on vacation I’m allowed to sleep whenever I want πŸ˜‰

#2: I’ve been meeting with friends and family…. eating a lot of CORNS!!! Yes. I’m having at least 2 big corns per day! 😯 Talking about being obsessed πŸ˜‰

#3: I’ve been doing a lot of shopping! Coats, skirts, scarfs, etc.

This meal was prepared by my favorite untie. She knows me well and made many vegetarian dishes! πŸ˜€

It was an amazing meal~~~ My untie cooks the best homemade food ever, even better than my mom πŸ˜€ She’s like my second or chosen mom. I’ve stayed with her family many times and she always took care of me πŸ˜€

This second meal was at a fusion restaurant with 3 primary school friends.

  3. Amazing, everything looks so darn delicious!! I have to say though, the shrimp…I couldn’t eat them with the tentacles still on them! Eww, it just weirds me out, I’m not used to it! I love that you use so many unique mushrooms in your dishes. I hear they are realllllly good for you, “nature’s cure-all” says Dr. Oz!

I’m glad you are over the jet lag and getting back into being with friends and having a great time!

  4. Sounds like you’re having a wonderful time, Coco! It must be so nice to visit with friends and family that you don’t get to see often…and I love that beautiful meal made by your untie!

  6. The almond-crusted squid thingy looks fantastic. I’d love to have a bite! Shanghai rules! My friend who visited it in the winter still raves about it. And I KNEW you’d be eating them corns! Hahaha! πŸ˜€

I love the Chinese style of making many different kinds of foods for a meal! (Too laborous for me, though, but I love it!) Anyway, I could never and would never want to eat frogs because they’re my favorite animals! 😯

  8. glad you have been enjoying your vacation and eating lots of delish food! i love that you photograph it, so we can live vicariously through your adventures. πŸ™‚
