Life: summer routine!

Summer is here! So exciting!!! πŸ˜†Β 

I’m parent-free! So exciting!!! πŸ˜† (okay, don’t let my parents know that). I do love them, a lot! But I’ve got used to live alone, so having them with me 24 hrs a day in a junior apartment is tough! Β Having parents here is nice because I don’t have to cook, clean, laundry. But during their stay (1.5 months), I miss good sleep (right, I couldn’t sleep well 90% of the time when they were here), I miss being alone, I miss my old routines.

Mom left yesterday so today I welcomed with my favorite summer routines! πŸ˜‰

30 min later… I made my favorite breakfast combo: protein cake!

I’ve been changing the original recipe a lot and came to this one, which is my current favorite

  • 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 whole egg + 1 egg white
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp coconut flour
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries

the whole egg and the coconut oil made it more nutritious and more filling. No more 2 hrs-later-hungriness!

I’ve been dealing with some stressful issues these days, that’s why I didn’t post. More about that later! πŸ™‚

I miss weekend because

Since Monday morning I started missing weekend because

1. I sleep much better during weekend (night and day), I’m sleep deprived during the week. I often wake up before 5 AM 😦
2. I get time to organize my apartment
3. I get time to catch up on blog reading
4. I get time to read leisure books
5. I get time to meet new and old friends

and I can continue … πŸ˜‰

Anyway…. I’m glad that wednesday is almost over and I’m hosting a housewarming party this Friday!!! πŸ˜†

Morning run & breakfast :)

Since I moved to DC mornings are enjoyable instead of rushing. I wake up around 5.30-6AM, before 7AM I was ready to go out for a run or yoga class

Friday I was ready for a short run. Dressed up for the “occasion” πŸ˜‰

40 min later I was back. My intention was to do 4 miles but I ended up 4.5 miles

I have a lot of thoughts about running, the distance, the speed, the heat and whether to participate in races…. I guess I need to write a post to organize my mind later.

What a better fuel than a juice after a workout? I haven’t used the juicer since last summer… I almost forgot how refreshing it is. Now that I have all the kitchen gadgets in one place and displayed, it’s easier to use them more often πŸ˜‰

Q: what are you doing on this lovely Saturday? πŸ˜‰ I just came back from an Astanga yoga class (first time), it was great, I’ll definitely go back for more. I’ll run some errands and then a dinner party at friend’s. I think he mentioned lobster! Yay~~~ Β πŸ˜€
