8 miles was on schedule this week. I was intimated by the distance because last week’s 7 miles was quite challenging… I barely finished it. I told myself: just give it a try, if you can’t finish it, just walk. Once the exit door was set, I felt better and more confident immediately. Instead of worrying not be able to finish it, I tried to find the way to make it more enjoyable. So, I started slow, 8.50 min/mile (usually my pace is around 8.30 min/mile). I explored a new route, Rock Creek Park Trail.Β The scenery was amazing, the weather not hot nor humid, I enjoyed every minute of the run π by the time I realize 5 miles was gone and I didn’t feel tired at all… so the last 3 miles was piece of cake π
After the shower, feeling AWESOME π, I prepared a proper breakfast. First since….I can’t even remember when was the last time I spend more than 5 min preparing a breakfast π―
I used Namaeste gluten free waffle mix to make the waffle, peach/fage/blueberries flaxmeal open parfait, cucumber/celery juice and beautiful flowers π
real delish~~~ π
I finish breakfast around 11 AM π― and by the time I finish reading the newspaper and check on blogs… it was almost 2PM, time for lunch π
I craved something simple since I was still full from the breakfast. Baked tofu came on my mind π
and kabocha mousse made with roasted kabocha, miso and tahini
fresh steamed corn
Lunch at 3 PM
YUM YUM~~~
A yoga class in the afternoon, called my mom, did groceries and ready for dinner~
bamboo/black fungus/tomato/dry shrimp stew over noodles + another corn! π
and a lot of dark chocolates! My first time having Godiva. I know these are expensive, but I must admit they’re really good! π
:opss: I just realized that all I did on Sunday was EAT! π
Q1: What’s your favorite brand of chocolate?
Q2: How do you Β mentally prepare for a hard workout?
