We had a FABULOUS birthday party for our princess Sofia! 🙂
The perfect matching cake.
I found it online and it was just how I wanted~~~
decoration was minimal because it has been busy season at work so I didn’t have time nor energy to do big planning (nor that I’ve ever done any!)
The party was held on Sunday October 6th at noon because Star arrived on October 5th. Mom and I spent half of Saturday cooking
The birthday girl~~ 🙂 So happy in her dress
with crown and little red shoes
we even practiced some walking
so happy to have both of us with her in this special day
and of course the grandma is extra happy to be here
playful as always
someone is getting her cheeks back 😉
almost set
The menu:
- Argentinean empanadas
- Waffle with various toppings
- blueberries muffins
- mini frittata
- apple strudel
- coconut macaroons
- arugula salad with apple, goat cheese and pecan
- blue corn chips with guacamole
- cheese plate with fruit
- fruits
- glutinous rice with black sesame filling
- puffs and crackers for the little ones
we set up a Time Capsule station where guests write down predictions of Sofia in 17 years! 🙂 We had a lot of fun with that.
The guests started to arrive
adults and little ones
at one point, our family room became a large playground for all the babies/kids
our birthday girl having her lunch
on my mom’s and on the floor
I made a baby-friendly smash cake for her
Ready to smash and play
so much fun!
and then it was time for the real cake
birthday song in four languages were sing! 🙂
such a joyful moment
after she changed cloth, she was even more active…. she found her disneyland
so entertained
and I was really enjoying the moment with my friends and their babies
After the party, it was gift-openning
More than 30 friends showed up to the party. The birthday girl behaved really well. She greeted to everyone, played with other kids and had fun the whole day~ 🙂 I was more than happy to be hosting. Many friends congratulated me for the nicely put food table and the ambiance, they even thought I made the cake myself. 🙂 hahahaha…
I am amazed by how this little girl, who slowly knows I’m her mom and maybe the one who loves her the most in the entire world, could have the power of bringing happiness and joy to our entire family~~~ I’m beyond thrilled and immensely grateful for the most wonderful gift I could have asked for.
I love you Sofia. No matter what happens in the future, I’ll forever love you and work hard to keep the smile on you.
What a great birthday party! The food table looks amazing! Great job! Glad Star and your mom could be there to celebrate Sofia’s special day!
Aw the party looked great. This posts really made me realize simple pleasures like being with family and friends is important for the soul.
What a great looking party! Sofia looks so pretty in her white dress with red shoes. So happy that Star could make it home to celebrate with everyone!
Did I see Argentinean empanadas?! I am currently visiting Buenos Aires…it’s challenging to eat vegan here, but it’s really interesting to experience it though and I’m only here for a few more weeks and have been here for a month! What a fantastic and adorable birthday party! 🙂
