Life: change of plan

Remember I told you last week that we’re going to Cancun? Well… after I booked the flights and the resort, I had to cancel it. Why? Because my mom cannot travel there due to visa issues! πŸ‘Ώ I was soooo upset! All the work, all the expectation built up, and now what are we going to do? In addition to the hassle to try to get the refund, what stressed me out the most was WHAT ARE WE GOING THEN??? I haven’t traveled for 2 years (not true because I did go to Buenos Aires last year, but that doesn’t count as travel if it’s not to a new place! ;)), so I mentally really need this vacation.

Where then? San Diego? Miami? North Carolina? where where??? I couldn’t focus at work, I couldn’t sleep well Monday night. I considered going to Miami…. but as I was researching about it, I wasn’t excited, at all. It seemed more like going there just for the sake of going somewhere, not that I wanted to go. Well…. that’s a wrong way to start a vacation. Soooo…. after much thought (technically, one night), I’ve decided! We’re going to HAWAII!!! πŸ˜†

I’ll visiting Honolulu

honolulu

and Maui

Maui-Hawaii

for two weeks! YEY~~~

It has always been a place that is in my to-go-list. It didn’t occur to me at first because it’s far away, it’s a long flight and it’s expensive. But…why not? It’s true that going there with Sofia isn’t going to be as easy as when we went to Greece, but… it’s going to be so much fun, in a different and even better way. And I’m taking mom… my favorite travel companion. πŸ˜‰

  1. Sorry Cancun didn’t work out, but Hawaii is VERY exciting!

I’ve never been, but it’s definitely on my list!

  2. i’ve been to oahu, maui and kauai. i loved a hog roast i went to on maui and exploring the rain forests of kauai was breathtaking! i found oahu too touristy but the water is still crystal clear so can’t complain too much πŸ™‚

do you need a baby sitter?

  9. Omgshhhh Hawaii is wayyy awesome even though I wouldn’t know how great Cancun is! I went to Kauai for our honeymoon and it was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made πŸ˜€ So relaxing, yet so much fun stuff to do~My advice is to seek out the more native places because you’ll still get plenty of touristy things while experiencing the real Hawaiian spirit, hehe. Ahhh wish I could go with ya!
