Life: long weekend

It was a 4 days weekend for us, a very needed one because someone is refusing bottles. 😦 I hope this is just temporary, and after whatever developmental stage is going through, she goes back to her old routine.

Summer is approaching so we started with juicing. Mom’s cholesterol and blood pressure is slightly high so I’ve put her on “diet”.

Every morning, I make her a carrot-apple-green pepper-cucumber-lemon juice.

mine: beet-cucumber-bell pepper-lemon

Her breakfast: oatmeal + sauteed edamame with chinese pickles

Mine: Rudis’ spelt bread toasted + 1/2 avocado + fried egg

Star got Sofia a present for her 8-months birthday: a lounging chair, she looks so comfy in it.

We discovered a new combo she likes: oatmeal + breast milk + egg yolk

and jar baby food

We noticed that she likes all kind of jar food but not all kind of homemade food. Apparently it is because jar baby food is usually bland and very liquid, babies seem to like that. However, even though they’re convenient, it’s not good because babies can’t learn about texture nor taste of real food that way. So we will only use them when we can’t access to homemade food.

On Sunday we went to Viva! Vienna Festival . There were sooo many people and kids.

we simply walked around and prepare ourselves for when Sofia wants to go to those scary-looking games. 😯

On Memorial day, we met with my friend Sarah’s family for brunch

mom had flat bread with prociutto, arugula and parmesan cheese

I had an egg white omelette with goat cheese and spinach, vegetable ragu and salad. DELICIOUS!

Happy mamas & Happy babies

they got to know each other more this time

even started to play a bit

love seeing how cute they’ve became. Can’t wait for them to start playing dolls together.

It’s going to be a short week, I only go to office on Tuesday, Wed-Thursday retreat at Westin and Friday off. Sofia and mom come with me again, hehehe….. someone would be very happy! 🙂

  1. Great photos!

    I’m juicing again, too!

    Have a great week!

  2. Sofia’s new lounging chair is adorable! And she’s even more adorable sitting in it! I’m sorry to hear she’s been refusing the bottle, but I bet that will change pretty quickly. One of my friends recently went through the same thing with her daughter, and now she’s taking it again. Hang in there!

The Viva! Vienna festival sounds like a lot of fun! And speaking of fun…it sure looks like Sofia and Sarah’s daughter were having a great time getting to know one another. 😀

Hope you’re having a great week, Coco! ❤

  3. Hehehe both lil babies look sooo cute picking at each other’s arms. 😀 I wish I could offer you some feeding advice, but here I am always learning first from YOU! And I didn’t know that jar food isn’t as sweet as homemade food–if anything, I thought it would be the opposite.

  4. Sofia is turning into quite the character isn’t she!?!? It’s quite the treat to see her grow-up! Thank-you for sharing with us! 🙂
