For Mother’s day we went out for lunch to celebrate the special day for the two pairs of mother-daugheters. Although it was my mom’s and mine special day, Sofia was the star of the event, as usual these days. 😉 We chose the same place where we celebrated my birthday, Old Angler’s Inn.
mom had oysters as appetizer
I had Hartland Farm Baby Greens (Cherry Tomato, Watermelon Radish, Fines Herbs, Jerez Vinaigrette)
Sofia had Baby Mum Mum
and then warm bread
she was determined to eat pieces of it 😉
as entree, we both had Smoked All Natural Chicken Breast (Baby Spinach, Walnuts, Grapes, Raspberries, Cherry Tomatoes and Raspberry Vinaigrette)
the chicken breast was tender, juicy and full of flavors!
We spent the rest of the afternoon playing on the play-mat
rolling all over the place
she manages to roll under the jumperoo
and then we packed. Sofia is taking over the suitcase!!!!!! Since it’s an 1.5 hr drive from home, we’re bringing everything she needs. That includes toys (too many), diapers, wipes, crib sheet, outfits (too many), swimming suit, floatie, skin-care products and bath tub. Over-packing indeed, we just want to be in the safe side.
Where are we going? Annapolis for a training event. It’s a 5-day event on-site from work, so I decided to bring mom and Sofia with me. It’s going to be our first experience sleeping outside the house and in a hotel. During the day I’ll be on training, mom and Sofia will visit the nearby shopping mall, play at the heated indoor poor and just hanging around I guess. I hope sleeping all-together in the same room goes well, otherwise I won’t learn much the next day, which is btw not the worst thing in the world either. 😉
