I’ve been holding this post for a while because actually I had nothing except the date just a week ago, and now almost all the major things are confirmed!!! 😀

Okay. Now rewind a little bit. About a month ago, I told my mom to start looking for the place. The problem was that every time she saw a new one, she likes it. It was frustrating that she changes her mind all the time, but I guess it was because she wants the best for me 😉 So, after few false alarms, she finally decided on this one. (do you guys know Yao Ming, the basketball player? He had his wedding in this hotel too) You might think how irresponsible I am to pick where is going to be my wedding without actually going to see the place myself. You’re right, but to be honest, I’m not the wedding-kind-of-girl. I know it’s important for any girl, but I actually don’t have any memory from childhood fantasizing about my wedding. Why do I have one then? I could probably save tons of $$ by skipping it. But I am having one because I want to make my parents happy. All traditional chinese parents have the biggest wedding for their daughter. And that’s why I delegated the task to my mom. If she likes it, then I’ll like it because it makes her happy.
I’m so lucky to have a girl friend who offer to be my wedding planner. I can do research on economics, but research about which camera man to hire? Not my thing. She’s super efficient too. In just few days she got all the important things that need to be confirmed before it’s too late.

i would agree with you that i’m not a big wedding girl either. i’ve never had the dreamscape wedding all planned out. in fact, i’d LOVE to do a destination wedding to reduce complications.

I have to tell you, last night I made your chinese pancake for Mike and I to have with dinner (we had tons of leftover veggies, basically a small amount of a lot of different stuff that I turned into a stir-fry…topped with hummus, it was delicious!). The pancake was delicious, definitely the highlight of the meal. Thanks Coco! 🙂

Coco, I think this is great! I don’t think it irresponsible of you to not pick the “place”. Like you said, your Mom is more than willing and you’re not even in the same country as where the wedding will be held. I can’t wait for updated details for the next year!!!
Memories of my wedding…it was HOT, I hardly ate any dinner b/c I was busy speaking with my guests, LOTS of photos and my flowers! 😉
oh my gosh girl! Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a beautiful location. It will be a fabulous day. Most memorable part of my wedding- oh gosh…so many- when Frank came in (he brought in the rings), when Josh gave me a surprise new ring during the ceremony, Running around the park during pictures afterwards, the great eats, our first dance, being called Mr. and Mrs. for the first time! Ah! Makes me melt 🙂

I think it’s great that you’re letting your mom and friend do all the stressful work! I wasn’t that into mine either, I just honestly didn’t care. I wanted to be married, and that was about it ; ) So my mom did much of the detail work and she loved it and it was just fine with me.

I’m so excited for the two of you. I know you’re already going to be together forever but I am sure come the day of the event you will be happy you celebrated it with those that love you most.
We had our civil wedding this past Friday and our wedding in Cabo is in 10 days!!!
