Summary of LIFE, new bread & shopping!

I think this quote summarizes perfectly my current state of mind about LIFE! πŸ˜€

source

Do what you like and Do it OFTEN!!!

If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude!

STOP overanalyzing, it’s a dead end and stressful journey.

Life is SIMPLE, it’s us that try to complicate it, so STOP!

When you eat, appreciate every last bite. When you do anything, BE present.

TRAVEL often! Get lost so you can find yourself.

LIFE is about PEOPLE you MEET! Be open to meet new people, be selective choosing friends and cultivate your friendships.

LIFE is SHORT! Live every moment of it. Find a PASSION and devote yourself to it.

We started Labor day doing some house work.

I couldn’t open the oven door completely so I burned myself several times.

Star was in charge to fix it πŸ˜‰

once fixed, I baked some bread (last batch was consumed too quickly ;))

This time, I added oatmeal and coconut oil. It has a great flavor, moisture inside and very crunchy layer πŸ™‚

Oat bread flavored with coconut

  • 1 cup WW flour
  • 1 cup WW Arthur King’s while WW flour
  • 1/2 cup bread flour
  • 3/4 cup rolled oats
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp granulated yeast
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp vital wheat gluten
  • 1.5 cup lukewarm water
  • 2 tbsp raw sugar

Method:

  • Put all the ingredients into the bread machine (liquid ingredients first, dry ingredients later and yeast last)
  • Choose dough cycle (90 min) it should double its size
  • Put the dough in fridge overnight
  • Next day, form two balls and let it rest for 2-3 hours
  • Bake at 400F for 35-40 min

then we went to SHOPPING!!!

Poor Star was holding all the clothes I wanted to try and my sunglass πŸ˜‰

I looked tired after just an hour

I couldn’t stop laughing at this pic of Star. He looked so not himself but soooo cool πŸ˜†

and then I had to say a short goodbye to Star. Star “moved” to VA (35 min away from DC). During the week, he’ll be living with his coworkers. For the moment we’ll be weekend couples. It’s not ideal but we’re very happy. After four years living apart, 35 min away is nothing. πŸ˜†

Q: If you’re married, what’s the biggest challenge of living with another person?

i haven’t been shopping in ages, i’m headed to the beach on friday and plan on taking a trip to the mall! biggest challenge being married is doing things that you don’t really “feel” like doing sometimes but because the other person enjoys it so much (like baseball games with my husband) he loves to watch but i find it boring but i go and keep him company πŸ™‚

  2. Glad you had fun shopping w/ Star! I think shopping is exhausting, too. I usually go in with a purpose, which also saves me money. πŸ™‚

  3. Great quote! For you and Star 35 minutes is like being next door I bet!!

The hardest part about living with my hubby can be gauging different moods and not taking them so personally.

  4. Lovely day of shopping πŸ™‚ I miss hanging out with you already!

And great quote/picture. I think I’m going to print it out to remind myself of those things.

  5. i hate when u have to say goodbye to Star!! thankfully he’s not miles and miles away anymore which is a relief ❀

my day looked exactly like urs in terms of shopping.. shopped til i dropped πŸ˜‰

    xoxo

  6. GREAT quote! I might just have to keep reading that on bad days!!

Biggest challenge? Getting to know each other’s habits. My husband and I fought quite a bit when we first moved in with each other but after awhile, you start to get to know the other person’s quirks and just come to appreciate them. It’s also a great way to compromise! For instance, I hate cleaning the bathroom but don’t mind the kitchen. My husbnad is the opposite! It works well!

  7. Love the whole beginning of this post! Glad you had a fun shopping trip. πŸ™‚

  8. What a great quote! Looks like you guys were very productive shopping, you got some cute stuff!

  9. So great you can be closer to eachother now!

The biggest thing for me living with my husband is probably scheduling. Things will calm down soon since we’re about to have our first baby (three days overdue at the moment) but with two people working full time sometimes it’s hard to make time for eachother and other things!

  10. Love that quote, very true!! What a great shopping trip, I need to go so badly. I love that he holds the clothes you want to try on, that is so sweet. Chris hates going shopping with me, so I usually can’t bring him along lol
I guess the biggest challenge for me is that I’m kind of a neat freak and Chris isn’t so much, but is a trooper to help clean up and we compromise. I think communication and compromise is very important πŸ™‚
