Call me tea lady & more GIVEAWAY!

How many teas do you drink in a day? 2-3? I had 4 in BIG jar form πŸ˜€ So, call me TEA lady girl. No rambling today because I have a lot to show πŸ˜€ Okay, just one thing, work went well yesterday πŸ˜‰

Looks my oatmealΒ tin(Star bough me from Argentina). It has its own spoon attached. Isn’t it cute?

Breakfast: peanut & flaxmeal oats. I’m running out of nut butter and don’t want to make another batch since I’m leaving the country in ❀ weeks. So, I’m adding 2-3 tbsp of flaxmeal to my oats lately.

IMG_1402.JPG IMG_1409.JPG

I got 3 packet of Fitnutz powdered peanut mix as sample. I didn’t make PB with it but throw the packet directly to my oats. It has a good peanut flavor, but nothing too special. I might have to try it in another form.

topped with some preserve (have to finish the jar)

Tea 1 was Kusmi‘s Sweet Love (Black China tea, liquorice roots, spices, guarana seed and pink pepper). I received a big batch of their teas few weeks ago.

IMG_1412.JPG IMG_1415.JPG

They have a big selection of teas. I’m specially intrigued by the Russian Blend. Sounds exotic right? Sweet Love is a melange of spices. (French makes everything sound so elegant ;)) I could taste some spices, but not strong enough. Maybe it was because the tea bag is pretty small and I put it into a big jar. I’ll try using 2 bags next time.

Tea 2

I add some milk to it as it’s suggested

served with a raw chocolate truffle

truffle was delicious πŸ™‚ tea’s flavor wasn’t strong enough 😦

I got this package from Campbells V8 Soup just before dinner time

IMG_1474.JPG

they not just sent me soup, but also a pedometer, a health log and a reusable bag. I guess the message is that their products are in line with a health lifestyle!

Garden Vegetable Blend

With 12 different vegetables and a flavorful, hearty base, this is a robust take on vegetable soup. No artificial flavors. No preservatives. Just the delicious, vibrant taste of a full serving of vegetables with the nutritional goodness that goes along with it.

Nutritional info: One cup contains 1g of fat, 480 mg of sodium (20% DV), 3g of fiber (12% DV), 7g of sugar and 5g of protein. Not bad at all, right?

I’ll be honest, I’m not a package food person, most of my meals are homemade and I had the idea that ALL package food is BAD. Well… I just realized that I was too judgmental. Their soups have no preservatives and artificial flavors, so the main bad things about packaged food aren’t in these boxes. Maybe not all packaged food is that bad πŸ˜•

I used one serving and added more veggies (broccoli and mushrooms) and tofu to make it as a meal, served with crackers.

IMG_1493.JPG

Taste? AMAZING!!! They don’t taste artificial at all and it’s delicious! I don’t usually like potatoes, but they were the star in that soup, making it so creamy!!! Coco’s rating: 5/5. I’ll definitely buy it in the future. Obviously if I have time and be able the find the good mix of flavors to recreate its taste, I’ll still make my own soup. But if I’m short on time and want something tasty, I’ll go for these.

Tea 4: My all time beloved Sweet Coconut Thai Chai

Dessert was white fungus drink & steamed kabocha (sorry Maggie, I just can’t live without it! ;))

  1. What a great package!! And you even got a pedometer?? That’s great! I’m not going to enter because I just won Melissa’s giveaway, which was very similar, so I’ll let others win this one. I’m excited to get my soup because I’ve never tried the Campbell’s variety yet, and I’m addicted to soup so that’s surprising! I’ve been into Trader Joe’s tomato soup lately.

I love the tea tin that Start got you. IT’s perfect! I don’t drink tea very often, I’m a coffee person. I like Green Tea and blueberry tea, and I Want to try the sugar cookie Christmas tea from Celestial Seasonings sometime this holiday season.

  2. The soup sounds good. And I so agree, while I love to make my own soups whenever possible, it’s so nice to have some prepared foods on hand for “emergencies.”

I love, love, love tomatoes, so I would love to try the tomato soup… πŸ™‚

    Have a nice weekend!

  3. The Sweet Red Pepper soup sounds pretty delicious.

Question about Kabocha. Do you eat the skin? I read you can but when I made kabocha last week, the skin was pretty tough and tasted a little funny to me. Is that normal?

P.S. You will be added to my blogroll ASAP!
