Ready to …?

Ready to go back to work? YES. Vacation mode is good, but too much isn’t. I’m kind of miss my routine now after almost 5 weeks without it.

Ready to leave Star? NEVER. Life isn’t complete without my angel.

Ready to leave the foodie adventure? Perhaps. No… of course I enjoy every single amazing meal that I had. But I miss my kitchen and cooking. Can you believe that I didn’t cook for 5 weeks now? crazy right? yes, I want to get my hands dirty again! šŸ™‚

Ready to face my professor and classmates? Not Really! Dealing with them isn’t fun! Just found a new blog called Ph.D Depressed it made me laugh so much.

What I am looking for in September (inspired by Lara)

  • Cook a lot of simple yummy food for me and my parents who are coming to US and stay with me for 2 months.
  • “put” them under a weight/fat loss regime. They are both 6-7 pounds over-weight, especially my mom, her body fat is almost 35%.
  • educate” them to adopt a healthy lifestyle. I don’t know where I got the healthy habits because my parents are not that way AT ALL and that have compromised their health lately (Diabetes my dad, osteoporosis and high cholesterol my mom)
  • juicing. Maggie got her juicer lately and have been creating beautifully named combos. I can’t wait to try them all!

What’s your September Resolution?

Today is going to be the last lecture, we’ll going to celebrate with another great meal like this one that we had on Tuesday night, just because!

At BENGAL again (third time in this trip)

oh… before that…. look this pic. When we went out for dinner that night, it was raining and I had my hair wet, so Star covered my hair with his coat in the middle of the street waiting for taxi. I looked ridiculous, but it was fun! šŸ˜›

The appetizer: toasted bread with chicken pate

I love these crackers. They’re not pre-packed ones, they made them. YUM~ I finished all WW ones.

Business man talking business! šŸ˜¦

Star’s: black tagliatelle with jumbo shrimps I had two of them, delicious!!!

Mine: grilled squid with salad. My favorite dish of this place.

Palate changing lemon sorbet.

Assorted desserts

strawberry sorbet

tiny piece of chocolate cake

peach panna cotta

One plate for each of us šŸ˜€

I think I got the perfect lighting that night, right Darling B&S?

It was fun to read everyone’s answer about what look for when eat out. I think most of us enjoy variety and things that I don’t usually eat/cook at home.

Question: What would you like to see/read more in this blog? I know that I’ve been lazy lately to post interesting things except food porn. But this will change soon as I go back to normal life and I’d love to hear your suggestions to make this blog more fun! šŸ˜€
