hello people! Did you miss me? I am in Buenos Aires!!! Happy and Stuffed!! ^_^ hahahha…..
First, I’d like to share my first experience traveling in Business Class with you guys. How that happened??? Did I win a lottery? NO! But I waited 2 hours to check in on Friday and had to run a mini race to reach to the bording gate while they were calling my name for last minute boarding. I was soooo afraid of not be able to catch my flight… fortunately that didn’t happen and they upgraded me because it was a full flight!!! ^____^ How lucky I was!!!! Travelling in Business is a whole new world!!! I SLEPT on flight! First time since my adulthood!!! And all the meals came in plates instead of plastic containers! Sometimes money really can make you happy! π
Star welcomed me with a gigantic bundle of roses and lilies. How lovely~~~ And then we went to one of our favorite restaurant Agraz (Hotel Cesar Park) for lunch to celebrate the 8 years anniversary! Yeah~~~ We met each other 8 years ago!!! That’s more than 1/3 of my life and I’m so happy to be able to spend more years to come with him!!!
- a must in any restaurant: fresh baked bread
- The appetizer: green salads with goat cheese burger
- The entree: grilled fish over sauteed veggies. Delish~
- Star’s entree: smoked ribs with sweet potato fries
- Dessert: chocolate mousse covered by chocolate!
- Candies for the coffee
Saturday night we went to a party called Siglo +1. It’s a birthday party for Rosa’s (Star’s client’s mom) 101 years old. 350 guests in the most luxury hotel in Buenos Aires, with great food, a lot of shows and souvenirs. Our table
- An entree size appetizer
Entree was lamb steak that was delicious, but I forgot to take pic of it. We didn’t stay until the dessert, so no dessert pic! But I did have dessert at home, which was more CHOCOLATES!!!
Sunday lunch was Argentinian Asado at home of a friend.
- A “map”
- guacamole and tapenade spread
- choripan! A classic.
- A salad to be accompanied to the main dish: STEAK
- Asado
- Second plate: more steak and salad
A note about the meat! You guys know that I don’t usually eat red meat. But when I come to Argentina, I do, because they’re free ranch and usually free of hormones and its fat content is lower than standard meat.
- Dessert was chocolate mousse over pineapple! AMAZING
- Petit fours for the coffee. I had a square of brownies! ^_^
That’s my first overdose of steak and sweets! I enjoyed each bite! No regrets, no guilts, pure pleasure! π
Vacation is about treats and indulgence, but too much of them is not healthy either. Krista talked about this and she already set things to do to keep in track during vacation. I don’t know what will be my vacation “routine”, but I already sign up at the gym and plan to buy a blender to make green monsters for breakfast! That way I can make sure to have my daily intake of veggies/fruits! Sounds like a plan, right?
Let me end with a fun pic
- Can you tell how happy I am?
I’m taking this week off, so more overdoses will come son! ^_^
Question: How do you keep on track the healthy lifestyle during vacation?
i think i just overdosed on food pornography viewing. and you are living it! so jealous!! i usually just eat anything when on vacation, i LOVE authentic foods and dont want to pass up indulging in the local cuisines just because of my healthy habits~when in rome! glad you are experiencing such fun! xoxo
I’m so jealous right now! Enjoy your trip and I can’t wait to hear more about it!
I think its pretty easy to stay on my diet during vacation… pretty much every restaurant has something healthy I can pick. I also like to indulge a little bit too π
It looks like you are having a blast! And happy 8 year anniversary, that’s just awesome! The food all looks amazing, and I am currently craving chocolate more than ever before π I can’t wait to hear more and see more!
It’s so hard for me to stay completely healthy on vacation. I usually end up packing plenty of healthy snacks so I at least get some healthy foods (especially at least 3-4 servings of fruit and veg).
Happy 8yr anniversary! That’s great! Everything you’ve eaten so far looks mouth watering.
Thanks for the shout out. Vacations are definitely for fun, but I think we still need to be mindful of what our bodies are trying to tell us! I’m confident you’ll do just fine!
wow, 8 years π
enjoy! u look so happy!
How fun and happy anniversary!! What a special occasion. I love chocolate mousse- one of my favorite desserts. Can’t wait to hear more about your trip π Enjoy every minute
Wow, it looks like Argentina is worth the trip for the desserts alone!
ahhh it looks like you’re back on track to having fun with Star!! Yeah..it still amazes me it’s been 8 years…time for an engagement CoCo! π
When I’m on holiday…I like to try new foods!! No diets…only eating “good” food, or high quality food! No junk!
congratulations to you and star!
