Food: no so great

Last week I said I was enjoying a lot my meals, well… this week was the opposite. I didn’t enjoy the food I was eating, I didn’t know what else I could eat, I was bored with the usual suspects. :( I don’t know why…. it just happened.

Breakfast was the only meal that I still like.Still enjoying  a lot the Peach/greek yogurt/protein cake “mess”

J&J #19, first 10k & destiny

Okay, it’s official! I’ve completed the first 10k in my life!!! Here’s the route map (I saw it in someone’s blog, can’t remember who was), it’s cool, isn’t it?

IMG_6354.JPG

okay. before you ask, am I training for a race? NO!!! Am I running everyday or so? NO! I just run for fun, mostly spontaneous decision to have a mental giveaway, to enjoy the weather, to be more outdoor. :) I am really enjoying this! oh… and I think I’m doing well too. The last time I talked to my guy friends (one of them run races), I told him that I’d do 8 km in 40 min, he was amazed! Yesterday, I did 10k in 50 min. Not bad right? I might actually run for a race, again JUST FOR FUN!

Destiny? Yes, yesterday two things happened.

#1 remember my car accident last year? yesterday the agent called me to let me know that she’ll send me a check with additional $1500 as compensation for …. (I can’t even remember). A normal person would get excited for the extra $$. But I wasn’t excited at all, not for a second! $$ seems to be just a number for me. I know that it can “buy” some happiness, but.. no excitement was my first natural reaction.

#2 I went to a conference and when the speaker showed puzzles (about the economy)? I was illuminated!!! My blood flew faster, my HR got up, I could felt excitement in me, EVERYWHERE!

So, my destiny is to do RESEARCH and NOT BUSINESS! ;)

She-De

I’m currently reading: There’s a state (of mind) called She-De.

IMG_5356.JPG

There’s no exact translation to english of this word. The structure of chinese words is based on using combination of single-meaning words to form new word with a different meaning.

She 舍 means let it go.

De 得 means Gain.

She-De 舍得 means let it go. But the message beneath its literal meaning is much more. The real message (@chinese culture): Only if you let go something, you’ll gain something. Other way to say it: When you lose something, you gain something; When a door is closed, a door will be open.

It’s an open mind idea to me! Personally, I’ve experienced several times this feeling

  • I didn’t give up my comfort life in Argentina, I wouldn’t be able to LIVE with passional (although stressed out often as well).
  • If I didn’t break up with my ex-bf, I wouldn’t have met and married the most wonderful man in the world!
  • If I don’t put down my judgements, I wouldn’t make many great friends.

Q: Have you experienced She De?

Look this colorful meal that I made yesterday.

Tj’s Harvest Grain

Snacking all day long this combo: sprouted sunflower seeds + cranberries

IMG_5354.JPG

and leftover homemade pizza (the best pizza crust ever! ;)) with steamed Tj’s green beans with ketchup. YUM~~

I think I need to get the other crust from the freezer tonight… I’m already craving for more pizza!
