Review: pretty workout outfit

Do you like wearing nice outfits when working out? I definitely do! I know some people don’t mind working out on old clothes, I am definitely vain in that regard. In fact, how I look when working out affects directly on my willingness to work out, and it impacts the effectiveness of the workout as well.

Which brands do you like? The traditional adidas/nike type of loose clothes? Not for me. I like fit, stylish, comfortable clothes. Usually I like wearing black or neutral color in the bottom, and bright color for tops. I know lululemon is big in the US. I don’t have any of them but I know they’re expensive. When I came to the US in 2006, I bought tons of workout clothes from Argentina. They are great quality. Even 6 years later I still use them. However it’s about time for some new ones.

P.V. Body or soon to be Elli contacted me few weeks ago to see if I want to review some of their workout clothes. It couldn’t be more timely, obviously I happily accepted the offer.

There are many monthly subscription nowadays, ranging from jewelry to shoes, even healthy snacks. And P.V. Body is a monthly subscription for workout cloth.

Here’s how it works. You sign up, you fill out an online questionnaire to help P.V. Body determine your personal exercise style, you give them your sizes, and they become your personal monthly shopper!

If you sign up, P.V. BODY will mail you a new exercise top and bottom every single month for just $49.95 (FREE shipping; always and you can cancel ANYTIME with no fee).

For this past month I received this outfit

top size: XS. Fabric: stretchy. It has extra padding for the chest area.

It fits well to my small torso. Usually I find most tops tight on my chest but lose on my waist, but this is not the case and I love it. I also like the vibrant color.

It’s great for strength training, yoga and pilates. Not enough support for running.

bottom size: XS. Stretchy fabric, rather thin which makes it fit well to the legs. Wears comfortable. Medium high waist which is great if you have a small belly to hide.

Overall, I like this outfit which was selected by “my personal shopper” according to the quiz I did online.

As I’m writing this post, P.V. BODY is about to make some changes, for good! :) The biggest difference is that instead of receive an outfit chosen by someone else, you can choose it from a lookbook every month. You can choose an outfit, or two tops, or two bottoms, or any combination of these looks you like. If you still want to be surprised, you personal shopper will choose it for you. For example, for the month of februrary, there are 12 outfits on in the lookbook. These are three that I like the most

  1. All the outfits, including yours, look great!

  2. Looking good Coco!!! Wow, post-baby and all?!
I used to spend money on workout clothes, when I went to a gym, but now that I workout at home I don’t really care what I wear. Maybe one day I will join a gym again….then I’ll look elsewhere (now I go to Old NAvy!

  3. There is no way that I could ever wear ratty clothes to work out. My workout outfits always match. More often than not they’re Lululemon . . . I lived in Vancouver after all, and given that this is the home of Lululemon, it’s practically obligatory! :P

Please be careful promoting this company! It’s all over the blogosphere and in chat rooms to stay away from them – tons of terrible reviews that they’ve gotten in regards to their horrible customer service, potential bait & switch ads, misleading promises, and bad product. Google ‘PV Body scam’ to see for yourself.

Lots of bloggers have also recanted their support for this company. Many bloggers have found that their readers who signed up through them have had horrible issues with them. Please know what you’re getting into before you decide to continue promoting them.
