hello everyone~ how was your weekend? Mine was good!
Dad has gone so I am playing with Mom.. no complain at all!
I had some time to explore new blogs yesterday and I found Sagan’s blog very interesting. I met this little girl on POM tour and I was amazed by reading her blog, she’s so young but has so much to say. Her blog is not about recipes, food diary or stunning pcitures, but her posts are inspiring and her writing enjoyable. Her 30 days vegan challenge made me think, if everyone can experiment other’s life before judging, this world would have more PEACE! The source of any arguing and fight is misunderstanding and/or misjudgment. I know it’s hard to not judge to others…. you do, I do, everyone does. But it’s important to take back sometimes and ask ourselves how can we judge them if we don’t really understand them? Everyone adopts a lifestyle for a reason, it could be their childhood, education, people that they met, etc. I always remind myself that if I lived their life, I might choose/do exactly the same as them. So, don’t judge!
Q: What do you do to NOT judge?
Without surprise, yesterday’s breakfast was another grilled sandwich. This combo has LC, spinach and ketchup

I used the grill pan this time

final product

Mom and I went to groceries shopping yesterday: chinese market and WF. We thought we’d spend less than when Dad was here…. Nop! We spent the same if not more!
I don’t know…. I just can’t stop putting veggies into the cart! As long as I live in US, I don’t think I can stop being grocerieholic!
Look what I found if WF… my beloved POM Wonderful

Feature meal of the day: Mom’s chinese cooking continued!

chinese spinach, tofu and shrimp… really really good! I might do a tutorial for this one. Anyone wants that?

I made some cooking too. This is onion jam (for grill sandwich)

sweet onions, garlic, balsamic, apple cider, cinnamon, ginger powder and brown sugar, simmer for 45 min.
And made a warm salad for Monday’s lunch at school

romaine, tomatoes, red peppers topped with a veggie & bean curry! YUM YUM~~~
Q2: What are you looking for this week? I need to get back to working mode.

Yes, I would love a tutorial!
You are right, we judge way too much. I try to remind myself daily that there are many ways to live your life.
I look forward to finish grading my midterms…

I would love a tutorial! That would be fun.
I try not to judge because I know many times I HAVE judged people and have been completely wrong about my assumptions. I could miss out on making a good friend that way.
As for what I’m looking forward to…it would have to be the launching of our business on Thursday!

lovely post, hun! I’ll be honest, I used to be incredibly judgemental of others — but realized that this was a reflection of my own insecurities. I don’t like being judge (who does?) so I use that to keep me from judging others. It’s far more productive to just focus on ourselves, right?!
Thanks for the very thought provoking post and beautiful food eye-candy

Yes tutorial please!
All your food looks delicious. I really try not to be judgmental of others-the way I look at it: “Different folks, different strokes.” Not everyone is the same and that’s what makes it so interesting!

Love that you found Sagan’s blog – I like it too!
Love all the eats you and your mom put together, but I have to say I had to throw up a bit when I saw the bowl of onions – can’t stand them!
Hope you are getting back in the grind – I am looking forward to the weekend and its only Monday!

Ah yes! I’m glad you got to meet Sagan. She’s super cool! Adore her and her blog! Though I have to admit, I am a bit ambiguous towards veganism. But it’s cool that she tried it out and stuck to it for 30 days!
Yesterday I went for a screening on “Darwin’s Dilemma”…a film about Intelligent Design and the controversy in Darwin’s theories…I’m trying to keep objective in my review of that for my school newspaper!
